If you’re trying to choose someone to preserve your pet, look no further than Dixie Hills’ Beyond the Rainbow! She preserved our cat Suella (completed January 2026), and we are delighted and amazed by Dixie’s technical depth and her artistry! This is our 6th preservation since 2006, and our 4th service. Dixie takes first place. Our Suella looks so natural, her fur soft, her face so peaceful... a perfect reminder of 19 wonderful years together. We enjoyed talking with Dixie throughout, while we decided on a pose and kept up with the drying progress, and shipping choices. There is simply nothing more to wish for!

When we knew our sweet 3 legged Boston Terrier was soon to pass, we started researching the best way to preserve him. After finding Beyond The Rainbow, we knew we had found the right place to take care of our boy. We have him back home now and he is perfect! It is hard to believe how natural he looks! My only hope when sharing my story here is someone out there who is thinking of preserving their pet take my story to heart and bring their pet to Beyond the Rainbow.
When my furry baby was still with me, I planned on having him preserve. Sadly, I was beyond devastated when I lost him last year that I totally forgot. I let a friend helped to bury him at a pet cemetery. Not until three days after burying him that I remembered my plan. I had him exhume. The next day, I took him as well as made numerous calls to taxidermists all over Southern CA. Unfortunately, no one could preserve him due to the condition that he was in. Out of desperation, I started to call taxidermists that are out - of - state and stumbled upon Dixie. From the very first phone call that I had with her, I knew she is a very special person. From her words and the tone of her voice, I knew she truly wanted to preserve my furry baby as much as I did. When I asked her about the cost, her answer was “not to worry about it”. Wow. Throughout the process, she went above and beyond to make this process work. BTW, the pricing is very… very reasonable.
Today, my baby is back home. Dixie literally brings my furry baby back to life and by doing so she helps fill the emptiness in my heart now that my furry baby is near me again. Strongly recommend!
